All about the Silk Route Tour.

Silk Route Tour: The Silk Route has served as the sole route for commerce caravans, daring invaders, and devoted Buddhist pilgrims setting out on their long treks for ages. Thanks to the ease of contemporary transportation and accommodations, this perilous journey, which was formerly only accessible to the bravest and most daring adventurers, has been transformed into a sumptuous odyssey.

As you set off on this amazing journey, you’ll pass beneath the towering “roof of the world,” tracing the gorgeous Indus River’s winding course. You’ll come across a tapestry of charming and historically significant locations along this wonderful road. Each stop along the road unveils a fresh chapter in the history of Northern Pakistan, from the busy city of Peshawar to the peaceful valleys of Swat, from the rough terrain of Gilgit to the timeless beauty of Hunza.

You’ll see the majestic majesty of peaks like the 8125-meter-tall Nanga Parbat and the royal 7788-meter-tall Rakaposhi in this stunning environment. Your excursion will be accompanied by these majestic mountains, steeped in folklore, their snow-capped summits serving as a continual reminder of the magnificence of nature.

At the 4703m Khunjerab Pass, the highest paved border crossing on Earth, where Pakistan joins China, this adventure’s magnificent finale awaits. Here, cultures mix and borders disappear, signifying the strength of ties.

Set out on an adventure of a lifetime as you travel across the natural wonders and encounter the diverse cultural landscape that distinguishes Northern Pakistan. The Silk Route Tour provides a chance to relive history, embrace adventure, and make lifelong memories.

  1. Day 01 Arrive at Islamabad International Airport

    Arrive at the airport in Islamabad. Karakoram Trails employees will greet you and provide transportation to the hotel. We will first eat lunch before beginning our tour of Islamabad. To witness a panoramic view of Islamabad, the Shah Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh, and markets where there is a genuine collection of oriental carpets, among other places, are on our itinerary. After a traditional Pakistani meal, we’ll head back to the hotel for the night.

  2. Day 02 Drive to Besham 

    We will leave early in the morning for the eight-hour drive to Besham, the administrative and commercial hub of the Shangla District in the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The town offers very good overnight accommodations in affordable hotels near the Indus River. The remainder of the day is free.

  3. Day 03 Drive to Gilgit

    We will begin our nine-hour KKH drive to Gilgit after breakfast. We’ll travel today to the breathtaking peaks of Nanga Parbat, Rakaposhi, and Haramosh. Although exhausting, the day is nevertheless fruitful. We will pass via the Indus River towns of Patan, Komila, Dassu, and Chilas on our journey. Today at KKH, we’ll witness a lot of rock sculptures and inscriptions. The Silk Route rock art resembles a guest book of ancient explorers, traders, warriors, and pilgrims.

  4. Day 04 Sightseeing in Gilgit

    The day will be devoted to learning about this historically significant city in the mountainous area. Gilgit’s location at the intersection of central and southern Asia gives it a significant historical history. the Kirghiz-influenced city. Tibetans, Chinese, and Arabs. The area was once a marketplace where Silk Road traders and travelers would barter products and ideas. Marco Polo passed through the village in the 13th century on his journey to China. We’ll travel to Kargah Nala after breakfast to explore a monastery, stupas, and a Buddha carved out of rock in the seventh century. We have the opportunity to watch renowned polo matches in the evening.

  5. Day 05 Travel to Hunza

    Travel to Hunza, Karimabad will impress you with its beautiful scenery and friendly people. We will be moving and staying in close proximity to enormous mountain peaks. We will take a jeep trip to Hunza after breakfast. The geological plate collision between the Indian subcontinent and Asia will be visible at Chalt. At the base of the 27th tallest mountain, Rakaposhi, which is 7788 meters high, we will pause for refreshments and photos. After lunch, we’ll travel to Karimabad and tour the 400-year-old Altit and Baltit forts. Simply from the window of your hotel, you may take in the magnificent mountain views. The Passu, Shishpar, Ultar, and Rakaposhi mountains, which are all over 7,000 meters high, overshadow and encircle the town.

  6. Day 06 Excursion to Khunjerab

    The Khunjerab Pass (4733m), the highest paved road border crossing in the world, is the destination of our 5- to 6-hour expedition, which will depart early in the morning. We will visit the snouts of the Passu and Gulkin glaciers, as well as Borit Lake, throughout the course of the tour, and we will take in the breathtaking scenery. We’ll also see the Ganesh watch tower and other impressive rock carvings today. In the Karakoram National Park, there will be opportunities for us to witness wildlife. Returning to the hotel for dinner and a night’s stay.

  7. Day 07 Sightseeing/Free Day

    Free day for just relaxing or taking optional walks and shops.

  8. Day 08  Drive back to Chilas

     Drive back to Chilas

  9. Day 09 Drive to Islamabad

    Drive to Islamabad (9–10 hours)

  10. Day 10 Fly back to Home country

    Our personnel will transport all of our customers to the airport at their scheduled departure times. All of our partner hotels have a 12 p.m. check-out time.
