All about the Seven Colours of Pakistan.

The mysticism of the Sufi order is deeply ingrained in Pakistan, a country known for its vast deserts and ancient civilizations. Some of the world’s oldest cities had their start here long before Western civilization emerged, and Pakistan’s history is replete with echoes of the splendour of the Mughal Empire and the exploits of Alexander the Great. Start your adventure in Karachi, one of Asia’s most populated cities and bustling ports, and learn the remarkable history of this much-misunderstood nation.

Your journey begins in Karachi, a city that is constantly changing. Here, among the vivid pandemonium and never-ending activity, you’ll explore the centre of a city that tells the tale of contemporary Pakistan. Your journey from Karachi takes you via the ancient tombs and shrines of Chaukhandi and Makli on the way to Mohenjo Daro, one of the most amazing archaeological sites in the world that dates back to the third millennium BC. The ancient city of Mohenjo Daro whispers tales from bygone times and provides a window into the lives of the prosperous civilizations that previously inhabited this area.

As you continue your journey, you’ll travel to Sukkur, where you’ll set out on a mission to find the critically endangered Indus River dolphin. The powerful Indus River not only sustains the area but also provides a haven for rare fauna. From there, you’ll go into the immense Cholistan desert, where the enormous Derawar Fort rises magnificently from the dunes, an architectural wonder immortalised in history.

Multan, also referred to as the “city of saints,” extends a warm welcome and is home to numerous amazing mosques and temples. Here, Islam and Sufism’s mysticism are visibly combined, creating a rich cultural experience. The next stop on your tour is Harappa, another ancient gem of the Indus Valley, where the ruins of a brilliant past beckon and offer a tantalising glimpse into the splendour of the area’s history.

In Lahore, sometimes regarded as the best of the Mughal dynasty’s cities, you’ll be surrounded by evocative bazaars and impressive historical landmarks. With architectural marvels that narrate stories of emperors and their legacies, the city emanates a regal grandeur. Lahore is a historical and cultural mecca.

Your journey brings you to Islamabad, the country’s contemporary capital, where the Taxila and Takht-e-Bhai ruins of the Gandharan Buddhist civilization still exist. These historical locations serve as witnesses to the clash of civilizations and the enduring legacies of earlier times.

A voyage called “Seven Colours of Pakistan” reveals the rich fabric of Pakistan’s history, culture, and geography.
