Join the Momhil Sar Expedition as they set out on an incredible journey. Momhil Sar, often referred to as Momal Sar, is a spectacular peak rising majestically to a height of 7,343 metres (24,091 feet) in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, in the charming Hispar Village in the Nagar Valley. This impressive summit, which proudly belongs to the Hispar Muztagh sub-range of the enormous Karakoram Mountains, is the 64th-highest peak in the world and the 26th-highest peak in Pakistan. When translated, the term “Momhil” means “the mountain that overlooks” or “the mountain that stands above Grandmother’s cattle pen or paddock.”
The majestic Karakoram Mountains in Pakistan are symbolised by Momhil Sar. One of the most famous peaks in the world, the fabled K2, is found in this huge mountain range that crosses Pakistan and China. The Karakoram joins with both the Hindu Kush and Himalaya Mountains at various locations, forming a geological wonder of epic proportions that spans over 500 kilometres in length and 200 kilometres in width. Within the Karakoram, every peak and valley offers a different, breathtaking experience.
The Hunza River and the Indus River, two important rivers that are essential to maintaining life throughout the region, were both born in the Karakoram Range. The best time to climb Momhil Sar’s summit is often between May and August, during Pakistan’s summer months when the climate is most suited for mountaineering.
You have the option to carry on your quest after your successful excursion to the peak. Due to the presence of the area’s high peaks, Concordia is frequently referred to as the “Throne Room of The Mountain Gods.” The magnificence of nature can be experienced up close on this excursion. You might also decide to go back to Pakistan’s Nagar Valley, which is regarded as one of the country’s most beautiful places. The valley stands out for its verdant meadows, extensive cultural history, and friendly locals.
The Momhil Sar Expedition promises an extraordinary and transformative adventure that includes not only the successful summit of a difficult peak but also a profound connection with the untamed grandeur of the Karakoram. Join us as we travel deep into the Karakoram and climb Momhil Sar, a symbol of the majestic beauty of nature and the never-ending spirit of adventure.
