All about the Kondus Valley Peaks.

Kondus Valley Peaks: A long-kept secret among climbers and adventurers, a hidden gem may be found in the Saltoro and Kondus Valleys, where the eternal beauty of nature reigns supreme. It’s a place where colossal stone spires rise over everything, silently bearing testimony to the ages that have passed. Some of the most pure and undeveloped granite towers, a tribute to nature’s artistry, can be found here, in these eastern valleys of Baltistan.

Before expeditions arrived, these valleys were enveloped in silence, their seclusion unaltered. These valleys were kept secret from the world and off-limits to explorers and climbers during the stormy periods of the Pak-India struggle over the Siachen Glacier. John Mock, who had a great deal of respect for this holy place, said it best when he said, “Villagers in the Saltoro and Kondus Valleys no longer see excursions, for these eastern valleys feature some of the finest clean granite towers in Baltistan. For future generations of climbers, the towers above these ascents still exist. It proves the lasting appeal of this undiscovered gem.

Our business has been at the forefront of planning expeditions to this extraordinary region ever since it reopened. Each of the several peaks that make up the Kondus Valley is just waiting for adventurous climbers to find them and scale them.

The daunting 7742m Saltoro Kangri I, the imposing 7705m Saltoro Kangri II, the royal 7380m Sherpi Kangri, and the unwavering 7100m Sherpi Kangri II are just a handful of these beautiful sentinels. Those who dare to climb these summits, cloaked in tradition and mystery, will find obstacles and rewards.

The Kondus Valley is also a launching pad for adventure, providing quick access to other well-known locales and peaks. Chogolisa I (7668m), Chogolisa II (7654m), Link Sar (7041m), K-6 (7281m), K-7 (6934m), and Chogolisa I (7668m) are just a handful of the illustrious names that adorn this hallowed environment.

Our four-week alpine-style climbing course will take you on a journey through a world of ice and rock pinnacles, the majority of which are located at altitudes under 6000 meters and are just waiting for someone to write their names into their history. These peaks, some of which may be reached from the side of the road, encourage you to mount them, learn their secrets, and contribute to the history of discovery in the Kondus Valley. It’s a voyage into unexplored territory where the mountains invite you to continue on in the spirit of adventure and where the stories of bygone eras are spoken by the mountains.
