K6 Base Camp Trek: Adventurers can go on the K6 Base Camp Trek, a riveting journey across Pakistan’s Karakoram Mountains that offers awe-inspiring natural beauty, towering peaks, and a diverse cultural experience.

K6, also known as Baltistan Peak, is the focal point of this expedition. Its tremendous height of 7,281 meters (23,890 ft) makes it a hard task for climbers. The walk begins at Kande Village, which is halfway up the Hushe Valley. The trail then directs hikers along the north bank of the Nagmah River after they pass a footbridge across the Hushe River. Hikers can get stunning views of the majestic peaks of the Karakoram on this first section of the journey.

Each step of the K6 Base Camp Trek is filled with breathtaking natural beauty. The first stage offers reasonably flat terrain and continuous views of the surroundings as it leads you from Kande Village to the Nagmah River. The trail leads to the Nangmah summer meadows, a serene and attractive area ideal for rest and contemplation, as it continues along the Nagmah River.

  1. Day 01 Arrive at Islamabad International Airport, Islamabad

    Today’s GPS Data Elevation: 540 m

    You will be met by our guide(s) at the airport. You will soon be taken to hotels. Our participants can unwind and recharge on this day after their exhausting journey.

    Pick-up Details

    With orange placards bearing your name and our company’s emblem, our guide is straightforward to identify. It would be best if you arrived at Islamabad’s Islamabad International Airport. International flights typically land in the afternoon or at midnight. At least five days before your arrival in Pakistan, you must provide us with the specifics of both your inbound and outgoing flights. Unless you are on a connecting flight from another city in Pakistan, a member of our staff or a tour guide will meet you at the gates of the international arrivals area. You will be transferred to our partner hotel by the guide or staff. If you do not need an airport transfer, kindly inform us beforehand.

    Our guide or agent will pick up all of our guests at around 6 p.m. for a briefing and final payments at our office, followed by dinner, after lunch, and some rest at the hotel (preferably if you are arriving in the morning between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.). We will handle any outstanding fees and the briefing in Skardu if you are running late.

  2. Day 02 Fly to Skardu, Karakoram

    Today’s GPS Altitude data Elevation: 2,498 m

    Participants will take a breathtaking trip this morning from the airport in Islamabad to the airport in Skardu. If the clouds cooperate, you will be able to view Nanga Parbat. The day is free after arriving at Skardu. Stay the night in Chilas in the event of a flight cancellation.

  3. Day 03 Enjoy your free day in Skardu

    Today’s GPS Data Elevation: 2,498 m

    The participants will trek to Skardu’s Kharpocho fort, which is perched on a mountain, after breakfast. The Indus River and the town of Skardu can be seen beautifully from the Kharpocho fort. The participants can also choose to go on a tour of Sadpara Lake, which will be followed by free time for shopping in Skardu Bazaar.

    Our staff will take care of any additional government paperwork needed in Skardu while you are out exploring. Sometimes, this will require two days. Near the end of the excursion, we have contingency days just in case.

  4. Day 04 Drive to Hushe

    Before turning northward up the Hushe valley to reach the roadhead at the small settlement of Hushe, we travel in jeeps along the Indus and Shyok valleys.

  5. Day 05 Trek to Saicho

    Trek to Shaicho after breakfast. We will depart from Hushe today, the final village still inhabited. We will rely on our local team to carry our supplies and sustain our trek for the final leg of the expedition. We walked for only a couple of hours to reach Shaicho’s lovely campsite.

  6. Day 06 Trek to Spangsar

    Wander to Spansgser after breakfast. We will pass the Charakusa glacier today and travel into Wali Changkhalil, which offers beautiful vistas.

  7. Day 07 Trek to K6 Base Camp

    Trek to the K-6 Base Camp after breakfast. across the glacier and below. Our route follows the ice river’s center while occasionally traversing moraines and other times snow and ice. We initially catch a glimpse of the magnificent spire of Naiza Peak, K-6.

  8. Day 08 Free day at K6 Base Camp

    You can relax while watching K6 and numerous other peaks. Or you may explore the entire K6 Valley.

  9. Day 09 Trek back to Saicho

    Return to Shaicho after breakfast by walking. We trek for around 3 to 4 hours to reach the campsite.

  10. Day 10 Drive from Saicho to Machulu Valley 

    Time Required: 4-6 hours

    As we left Saicho and arrived at Hushe Valley (3,000 meters), where we would spend the rest of the day, the views of Hushe Valley on each side were breathtaking. We travel for one to two hours down to Machulo Valley after lunch. K2 View Point Trek is based out of Machulo Village. The expedition to view all five 8000-meter peaks in Pakistan is the cheapest, simplest, and shortest one ever. This magnificent viewpoint is situated a total of 2-3 days’ journey away. In the middle of the homes in this town lies an old mosque. The Haldi cones and lush green meadows in the background make for an amazing scene. The Machulo village’s channel walk is a great place for visitors to explore and get to know the locals.

  11. Day 11 Drive to Skardu

    Time Required: 3-4 hours

    Today, we put in quite a couple of hours of driving to reach Skardu. You may do a full tour of Skardu City here.

  12. Day 12 Fly to Islamabad

    Today’s GPS Data Elevation: 538 m

    The participants will fly from Skardu Airport to Islamabad Airport on this day. You’ll enjoy unwinding at the hotel in Islamabad.

    Sometimes bad weather forces the cancellation of domestic flights. If your flight is canceled, you will drive to Raikot or Chilas and spend the night there. By car, it takes ten hours.

  13. Day 13 A backup day in case of flight disruptions

    Today’s GPS Data Elevation: 538 m 

    In the event that the domestic flight does not run the previous day, this day is set aside for any potential delays. Our guests will leave early in the morning to travel, which could take up to ten hours, from Chilas to Islamabad. If the participants make it to Islamabad on domestic aircraft, it will be a free day. You could use this time to explore Islamabad.

  14. Day 14 Return home country

    Meals served on this day included: Breakfast

    All of our visitors will be transferred to the airport at the appropriate departure times by our employees. All of our affiliated hotels require a 12 p.m. check-out time.
