An alternate approach from Gilgit city is accessible for people looking for a quicker route, providing a practical choice for getting to the peak. The best time to attempt this difficult ascent is between May and August, which coincides with the season of good weather that makes mountaineering successful.

  c. Personal equipment transportation service: Sherpas transport up to 10 kg (22 lbs) of personal items between camps and up and down the mountain.
