All about the Ghenta Peak Expedition.

Set out on a daring expedition to conquer Ghenta Peak, a spectacular peak that is hidden within the Batura Muztagh subrange of the Karakoram Range. Ghenta Peak, which soars to a height of an astonishing 7,090 meters (about 23,264 feet), commands a captivating view of the Batura Glacier, which is ranked as the seventh-longest non-polar glacier on Earth. This outstanding summit is a notable member of the Batura Muztagh sub-range, where it enjoys the same breathtaking surroundings as illustrious peaks like Passu Sar and Batura Sar. The beautiful Passu Village in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Gojal Valley is the village closest to Ghenta Peak and provides a great starting point for this intriguing excursion.

A magnificent group of mountains known as Batura Muztagh sometimes affectionately referred to as the Batura Wall includes Ghenta Peak. This sub-range is an essential part of the Karakoram Mountains in Pakistan, a geological wonder that adorns both the Pakistani and Chinese landscapes. A natural wonder, the 500-kilometer-long and 200-kilometer-wide Karakoram Mountain Range is home to some of the most famous peaks in the world, including the famed K2, Gasherbrum, and Nanga Parbat. At several locations, the range smoothly connects with the Hindukush and Himalaya Mountains, adding to its extraordinary natural diversity and majesty.

In Gilgit-Baltistan’s Upper Hunza region, the scenic Passu Village serves as the starting point for the Ghenta Peak Expedition. Passu offers a comfortable and beautiful launchpad for the excursion and is only two hours from Gilgit. A 50-minute flight from Islamabad, the country’s capital, to Gilgit is a good choice for travelers looking for quick access. Additionally, the area benefits from being close to the famous Ultar Glacier, which is located nearby in the Hunza Valley and has recently gained attention.

In addition to the thrill of mountaineering, the Ghenta Peak Expedition offers the chance to fully experience the magnificence of the Karakoram Mountains and create priceless memories in the middle of the embrace of nature. Join us on this incredible journey as we explore this spectacular range’s interior and aim to conquer Ghenta Peak against a backdrop of breathtaking natural beauty.
