All about the Pumari Chhish Expedition.

The Pumari Chhish Expedition promises a fantastic journey. The spectacular peak of Pumari Chhish, located in the Hispar Muztagh, a division of the fabled Karakoram Mountain range, soars to an astonishing height of 7,492 metres, or around 24,580 ft. This impressive mountain is the 19th highest in Pakistan and the 53rd highest in the entire planet. The adventure starts from Hispar-Nagar, a lovely town or village in the alluring Gilgit-Baltistan region.

The first successful climb of Pumari Chhish is indelible in the annals of mountaineering history, and the area has a long history of exploration. A Japanese team from the Hokkaido Alpine Association conquered this tough mountain in 1979 with the help of a gallant Pakistani Army officer, Captain Nazar Abbas from the 29th Signal Regiment. The Khunyang Glacier served as the starting point for their ascent, which was defined by a difficult and lengthy route.

The Pumari Chhish Expedition departs from the scenic Hispar area of Gilgit-Baltistan’s Nagar Valley. Although a different route from the Biafo Glacier in the Baltoro region is possible, the approach through the Nagar Valley and the Hispar Glacier is preferred since it is reputed to be comparatively more accessible and shorter.

The best time to climb the peak is often between May and August, during Pakistan’s summer season, when the weather is most suited for mountaineering. You’ll have the chance to witness Pumari Chhish’s magnificence during this time, surrounded by amazing natural beauty and breath-taking sceneries.

The Pumari Chhish Expedition invites you to push your boundaries as well as develop a close relationship with the untamed beauty of the Karakoram. It promises to be a memorable experience that deepens one’s understanding of the magnificence of nature. Join us as we travel deep into the Karakoram and climb Pumari Chhish, a representation of human fortitude in the face of nature’s majestic majesty.
