Expedition Sherpa Kangri

Getting to the Saltoro Muztagh, a spectacular sub-range of the Karakoram Mountains in Gilgit-Baltistan, close to Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan will be an amazing trip. The towering Sherpi Kangri, which stands proudly at an elevation of 7,380 metres (24,210 feet), is the 74th-highest mountain in the world and the 33rd-highest peak in Pakistan. The Sherpi Kangri Expedition cordially invites you to climb it. This spectacular peak is located within the Siachen Glacier region, near the Line of Control between Pakistan and India, giving this mountaineering endeavour a special geopolitical significance. 1976 was the first successful ascent of Sherpa Kangri.

A mountaineer’s paradise can be found here in the Saltoro Muztagh, a subrange of the Karakoram, close to the Siachen Glacier in Jammu and Kashmir. The Saltoro Muztagh, which has four spectacular peaks that rise beyond 7,000 metres, is frequently referred to as the centre of the Karakoram mountain range.

The 500-kilometer-long and 200-kilometer-wide Karakoram Mountain Range is home to some of the most renowned peaks in the world, including the formidable K2 and Gasherbrum. The Karakoram Mountains, which at various locations connect with the Hindukush and Himalaya Mountains, are a world treasure.

A captivating trek over Pakistan’s vast Karakoram Mountains is promised by the Sherpi Kangri Expedition, which will provide stunning views of the towering, grey-backed peaks and enormous glaciers, some of which are among the tallest and largest on earth. The Skardu area, the closest town to these amazing mountains, is where the adventure normally starts from.

Because this territory is shared by three nations—China, Pakistan, and India—it has significant geopolitical and strategic significance.

The Sherpi Kangri Expedition promises an adventure that will make a lasting impression on your heart and soul, regardless of whether you are an experienced climber seeking new heights or an adventurous traveller ready to explore uncharted terrain.
