Adventurers are invited to discover the vast and spectacular environment of Pakistan’s Karakoram Mountain Range on the thrilling and difficult Arando Haramosh La Trek. This trek takes you deep inside one of the most famous mountain ranges in the world, giving you a rare chance to see the Chogo Lungma group’s majestic peaks, including the towering Spantik (also known as Golden Peak and Ghenish Chhish), which rises to a height of 7,027 metres, and the impressive Leila Peak, which towers over the landscape at 6,985 metres.
The possibility to attempt the difficult crossing of Haramosh Pass, located at an intimidating elevation of 4,800 metres above sea level, is one of the distinguishing characteristics of the Arando Haramosh La Trek. This pass serves as a crucial link between the Baltistan and Gilgit regions, providing access to some of the most alluring natural settings possible. You’ll be treated to a mesmerising symphony of natural beauties throughout the hiking path, such as the melodic gurgles of crystal-clear streams, the vibrant colours of flowering meadows, the riveting spectacle of falling glaciers, and the mysticism of dark and fascinating forests.
Located at a height of 3,260 metres, the ethereal Kutwal Lake is unquestionably the highlight of the walk. With some of the most fabled peaks of the Karakoram as a backdrop, this beautiful body of water seems almost unearthly.
A surreal and picture-perfect scene is created by the reflections of Mani Peak (6,685 metres), Bilchar Peak (6,134 metres), Lila Peak (6,986 metres), Spantik (7,027 metres), Haramosh (7,409 metres), and Rakaposhi in the mirror-like surface of Kutwal Lake. This gives the impression that you are in a place where fairies live.
This hike stands out due to how isolated and unexplored it is. You have the opportunity to experience the untamed wilderness in its pristine form because so few daring travellers trek into this unspoiled and less-travelled area of the Karakoram.
The Arando Haramosh La Trek promises an incredible expedition through some of the planet’s most breathtaking natural environments, regardless of whether you decide to tackle the challenging Haramosh Pass or set out on a same-way return trip. It encourages you to immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of this untamed wilderness, gaze in awe before the giants of the Karakoram, and create priceless memories in one of the most breathtaking mountain ranges on earth.
